Stopped here for a restroom stop and little did I know it would turn into temptation island. Baked goods up the wazoo. Cookies, muffins, donuts, scones, cannolis...just to name a few...best of all Like 8+ flavors of fritters!!! I had only heard of apple fritter and blueberry fritter at one other place, but this place had maple, coconut, banana, lemon, peach, cherry, plus more that I am forgetting at the moment.

I got the banana fritter, butterfinger crumble raised donut, and red velvet old fashioned donut. I thought I was done but on my way out the door I spotted a shelf with "day old baked goods" for a buck a bag. I ended up buying a bag of 4 sprinkled old fashioned donuts. OOPs there goes my diet!!!

Oh yeah almost forgot they also serve lunch items and fresh baked bread. Didn't get a chance to try any of this but hopefully next time I manage to get over this way.

Counter ladies are sweet...oh and bathroom was nice and clean too. Kudos!!!

In the town of Dixon, off interstate 80's Pitt School Road exit, is Solano Baking Co. I am a fool for not trying this place out earlier. I heard about it and always said to myself... I'll try it next time. Well last Sunday morning was finally that "next time."

I ventured off the interstate right on over.  It is minutes from the freeway in a small business strip mall. Safe area. The clientele were families, couples, Solos, bicyclist in spandex... all ages.... welcoming vibe. It was Packed. But the line flowed quickly. Staff knows how to keep it moving without rushing folks through like cattle. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It's not an hipster interior designed selfie opp kind of place, nor a dive.

Right when you walk in, there is a shelf of day olds. They had a bag of 3-4 doughnuts for $1. Score! Besides the gorgeous pastries and bakery items (muffins, doughnuts, bear claws, scones, Florentines, cookies...), they offer sandwiches and espresso drinks. The shortbread almond cookies were darn delicious. The hubs went crazy over the cake doughnuts.

We also had a breakfast sandwich. ~$5. Fluffy whole scrambled eggs with crisp cooked pieces of bacon and cheese on a bagel. It was served hot, just cooked hot... not premade or microwaved.... that made the cheese a bit melty giving it a nice stretch. Beautiful! Also the lovely woman taking our order asked if we were sharing the sandwich. We said yes. So she made note of that and our bagel came out cut in half and served on two separate plates. Nice Service!

Not only is service friendly and food darn tasty... the prices were reasonable. My breakfast sandwich price was comparable to the Golden Arches pricing. The cookies are way cheaper than the likes of Sacramento's Estelle, Freeport Bakery, and even Ettorre's.

This place is so cute! It is the perfect place to stop at in the morning on our way up to Tahoe.
They had a great selection of donuts and other goodies. They had no gluten-free bakery options :( ( only quiche) The reason for the 4 stars. All they need are some almond flour muffins lol and I would be happy!
My kids loved the donuts and so did my husband. They have  many different flavors , like Coconut Apple Fritter! All yummy.
They also had breakfast sandwiches and breakfast bowls, which I got. My husband got an iced coffee, that was also very good and we are picky about your coffee.
    Highly recommend!

Wanted to pick up a dozen for my mechanic and his crew. Came early morning and was able to choose from a nice selection and good prices. Huge parking lot and better than Dunkin !

Fantastic bakery with an outrageous selection of baked goods. I love their apple fritters and their pineapple upside-down muffins. Oh so good.  You can't go wrong here.  Has that wonderful fresh-baked smell when you walk in the door. I've gotten goodies here that I've never seen anywhere else. Nice cozy seating, super good coffee and a clean bathroom. Genuinely friendly folks too - they really take care of their customers.
Have been stopping here for the past 15 years - every time I make a trip between the Bay Area and Sacramento. Easy and safe pit stop at Pitt School Road off of Highway 80. Love the place!
